Supporting Dads

Supporting Dads

Becoming a parent is one of the most exciting, rewarding and daunting experiences you'll ever face.

Most people are aware that anxiety and depression commonly affects new mothers, but did you know fathers are also at risk?

If not, you’re in solid company – almost 50 per cent of dads aren’t aware of this fact.

Beyond Blue's initiative Dadvice assists fathers in supporting themselves, and their families, with issues ranging from anxiety, depression, work-life balance and relationships.

From topics ranging from becoming a dad, to anxiety and depression, supporting your partner, and juggling work and family, Beyond Blue's Dadvice provides tips for new Dads to support themselves and their family. They also offer an emotional health and wellbeing guide, alongside a mental health questionnaire you can send your partner to gauge their need for additional support.
